IFTAR: Thank YOU!!

First of all, I'd like to thank those who came to the IFTAR with all my heart:

Chuck, Faris Bada & fiancee Hendra, Dean Kodri, Zaza, Abu & fiancee Nadia, Sabi, Ridek, Kinal, Epon (who texted me the day before), Musawir, Apai, Alfie & wife Mas, Bojed & wife Nadya, Ama & hubby Khairul, Lalok & wife Effa (who called Chuck 1/2 hour before the IFTAR) and Yan who joined us after his family gathering...

and not to forget Beth who suggested the venue and helped me buy the 1st coupon booklet, however we did not manage to buy another booklet coz its already sold out! the coupons were distributed to the 10 guests who paid early... don't forget to drop the stub at KGPA for lucky draw to those who haven't!


However its a bit loss since Soleh and partner couldn't come to the IFTAR due to an accident, but I really appreciate your support..thank you..(would you like a refund or save it for future events?..let me know ya..)

IFTAR: RM1 Penalty Banished

huhuhu..since I received good news yesterday from Beth..I am now officially banishing the RM1 penalty imposed in the post before..please keep up the support guys..

but I still need you to bank-in the payments before 10 September 2009 11:45 PM..I'll be off to KL the next morning to settle the payments for the Iftar at KGPA..thus I will not be able to update the list..OR verify any payments you made to me after the stated date and time..

your cooperation is very much appreciated..thank you~!

IFTAR: Last Day for Payments

Dear friends,

Please note that today is the last day for confirmation and payment of RM45.00 for the IFTAR TRIME 2009/1430H event. Up to this point when I'm wiriting this post, there has been 10 confirmed guests who have already cleared their payments. To them, I express my greatest gratitude for giving me ur utmost cooperation, and I would like to thank Abu for being the FIRST to clear the payment on the next day of the post (other than myself)..so thanx Abu!


I hope the rest of could follow suit..but it just seem impossible with our group..

I would like to remind you that organizing events is almost impossible without funds or early payments..unless there is someone in the group who is willing to put forth his own money for advanced payments..taking risks that he might lose part of the money..or the whole sum..

To be frank, this has happened before in our group..some of our dear friends who were willing to put forth their own money ends up losing them..and its not in small amount..its folds bigger then what you are paying for this IFTAR..its an old story..so I'm not going to dwell on it in this holy month..but i do hope that you guys could appreciate their willingness to sacrifice in the past..

That brings me to put up rules for early confirmation..and penalties for late confirmation..and I even raised the price for these events..it's all because I want to have an initial amount of funds in our accounts for our future events..coz you won't believe if i tell you the total amount I've lost investing for these events in the past..

I'm not bringing up old stories or whatsoever..I'm just learning my lesson..anyway..its up to you whether you want to believe me or not..after all..tak baik menipu bulan Ramadhan ni..

okay..back to the future..

the total collection up till today is RM450.00..almost the price for a coupon booklet for 12 persons..

now..to buy 2 coupon booklets cost me RM924.00..but the total collection is still far from that..though I personally know there will be payments coming in today..I still can't predict whether we could achieve the total of 24 confirmed guests..so I decided to buy one coupon booklet today..jika diizinkan Allah dan masih ada peluang..I'll buy another booklet on the next day..if not..we'll have to pay the full price RM46.20 for the rest of the guests..[tula..sape suh bayar lambat??]..

so you'll have until 11:45pm tonite to pay RM45.00..after that I'm raising the price to RM46.00..RM1.00 penalty for late payment and confirmation..

GUIDE AND EXCEPTIONS: TO THE GUESTS WHO..

1. WANT TO COME BUT CAN'T PAY YET

If you call me by 11:45pm today stating that you are NOT ABLE TO PAY FOR THE EVENT NOW but YOU REALLY WANT TO COME..I will consider giving you the price of RM45.00..ON ONE CONDITION..you will have to pay me that RM45.00 eventhough you didn't show up at the event..

2. DON'T KNOW WHETHER THEY CAN COME OR NOT

You can choose to pay RM45.00 today..however..if you can't make it..let me know and i'll keep your balance for future events..
OR
You can confirm later and pay RM 46.00..no choice..
OR
You can come on that day..and pay RM46.20 at the counter..I'm not going to manage for your payments..

Following the results of the poll, our IFTAR venue is now set.This is our IFTAR latest tentatives:

Time: 6:00pm - 11:00pm


Currently I can only accept payments via Internet Banking or Cash Deposit Machines.

As you can see in the previous post (here), the cost will be RM46.20 per pax.

But I will ask of you to forward RM45.00 to my accounts.

Confirmation will be based from payments, if you don't pay, I can't guarantee you a seat.

PROMOSI 2: Tempahan untuk kumpulan

Bagi setiap tempahan melebihi 20 orang, akan layak mendapat diskaun sebanyak 10 % (sepuluh peratus).

Let me do the maths for you

PROMOTION 1 price per pax
(462 x 2) / 24 = RM38.50 per head (and we get 24 participants!)

PROMOTION 2 price per pax
46.20 x 20 - 10% = RM 41.58 per head

I got an offer to buy the coupon booklet despite the duedate..but I have to pay for it by next week..that is MAX saving! and if we do reach the total of 24 participants, we could use the RM6.50 balance from your payments for future events (organizing these stuff costs much you know..)..or you can have them back if you want to.

however if we can't reach the targeted 24 participants, we might save by buying 1 coupon booklet and paying full for the rest.

Say we only have 19 participants, the maths will be like this:

(462 + (7 x 46.20)) / 19 = RM 41.34

so by paying RM45.00, we can still cover the costs..and have a bit balance for future events.

therefore, please forward the news to our friends who are not on the internet..onegaishimasu~

1 coupon booklet cost me RM462.
2 coupon booklets costs RM924.

if we act fast (and pay fast)..we can save more..and save more for our future events.

and since I can't confirm the actual number of participants yet, I can't promise that we'll get a room there. And it depends on the situation too..if we are too late we might not get the room..

I have done my best, and I hope for the best from you too.

And also, please confirm your attendance by leaving your name in the comment section by 5th of September 2009 and I will load it in the Attendee List..

Estimated cost for the time being is RM 45.00++ per pax. I will update the payment options as soon as I'm done with the calculation.

Now about the tentatives..I received suggestions to go for karaoke after the IFTAR..[which we had done last year]..well..I'm open to it but I'm not sure about the rest of you..What I can say is, if you want to go for karaoke afterwards, please drop in your name in the comment too..
